Horse Camp

June 6 & 7

Giddy-up and make plans to attend our 4th Annual Rodeo of the Ozarks Horse Camp. Children ages 6 – 12 will learn about equine basics while interacting with a variety of hands-on horse and rode and equine related activities. Horse campers learn about equine anatomy, riding equipment, how to rope and even get to ride a horse! The camp is 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and is absolutely full of engaging, memorable activities. Lunch is provided! Registration opens on May 6 through the Springdale Parks and Rec.

Safety notes:

  • Upon Drop off, we will ask parents to sign a liability waiver, pick up form, and photo release.
  • Food – If your child is bringing a lunchbox, please label it with their name and your phone number. Please disclose any food allergies!
  • Water – we will provide small waters throughout the day but please bring a water bottle and label it with your child’s name and phone #.
  • Sunscreen – Please apply sunscreen before drop off! We will plan to put pediatric sunscreen on children if you do not wish for your child to have this, please let us know. We will be out in the sun for most of the day.
  • Riding – At drop-off, we will assign your child a group. That group ‘color’ will determine what time your child will ride. Parents may choose to come early and watch their child ride a horse!
  • Important – Close-toed shoes are required! Please wear closed-toed shoes that you don’t mind them getting dirty.
  • Children will be provided with helmets while riding and be required to wear a helmet at all times while on a horse. The horse that the child is on will be led by an experienced horseperson and each child will have one or two sidewalkers. Helmets will be disinfected after each rider.
  • There is a 3:1 camp counselor/volunteer-to-child ratio.
  • Must have ID at pick up!
